Dear Parent/Guardians,
The Christmas season has arrived! The next couple of weeks will come fast and furious as we look forward to a wonderful holiday season and there are many activities and initiatives happening at St. Jude.
As we do every year, we are collecting food to create Christmas Baskets for families within our community. We will be collecting food from December 2nd to December 11th and then distributing baskets to local families on December 16th. Each class has been asked to collect specific items so please check the letter that went home last week to see what is being asked of your class. If you are not sure, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
This year’s Christmas Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 17th @1:30pm. Parents are free to park across the street at the Seventh Day Adventist Church parking lot.
This year we will be holding a Santa Sale. Families will donate gently used items and on the 10th and 11th, students will have an opportunity to shop and buy gifts for their parents. A letter will be sent home Monday with more details.
Christmas Angels letters went home earlier this week as well. If you are still interested in taking part, please send in the bottom half of that letter on Monday.
During the last week of school, we will have different activities happening each day as part of Christmas Spirit Week. Students will be asked to wear different items for different days. Those days are marked on the calendar but a reminder will be sent home the week prior.
On Monday, December 16th, Catholic School Council is providing the entire school population with free Turkey Lunch. The meal will include turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and a bun and will be free for all students.
Facebook – Our Facebook page is updated regularly with pictures of events and last minute reminders. Please note that sending messages through Facebook or in the comment section is not an effective means of asking questions to the school as it is rarely checked.
